How to use this list
Season length is the main difference. Warmer climates shorten the season and make conditions less predictable, so most parks here lean on snowmaking, and warm spells can still shorten a run. Confirm opening dates before you book travel.
Sixteen of the 30 published prices run from $14 to $46, so a family trip can be cheaper than a northern ski resort. Reservations are common, so book early. Our guide to snow tubing in the South covers timing, and snowmaking parks explains what to expect from made snow.
