Snow tubing parks with a lift (no walking uphill)

A moving carpet under your feet beats trudging back up an icy hill, especially with toddlers, tired grandparents, or a tube in each arm. Of the 229 parks we track, 102 use a magic carpet or conveyor-style lift rather than a rope tow or walk-up climb.

How to use this list

Lift type matters more than most people expect on a family day. A magic carpet lets a 3-year-old ride up standing next to a parent with no grip strength required, while a tow rope or handle tow asks riders to hold on while sliding, which trips up younger kids and first-timers. If anyone in your group has balance or mobility concerns, a magic-carpet park is the safer bet.

That said, a magic carpet doesn’t guarantee an easy day: check the park’s lane count and reservation policy too, since a small magic-carpet hill can still get crowded on a busy Saturday. Pair this list with choosing a tubing park by age if you’re planning around young kids specifically, and see snow tubing with toddlers for lift-specific guidance.

Standouts

• Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, PA runs 40 lanes on a magic carpet lift, tied for the second-most lanes of any park we track.
• Hawksnest Snow Tubing in Seven Devils, NC combines a magic carpet with 30 lanes, night tubing, and a minimum age of 3.
• Great Bear Recreation Park in Sioux Falls, SD publishes one of the lowest starting prices among lift-served parks, at $9.
• Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN pairs a magic carpet with 23 lanes and snowmaking, keeping the season reliable in southern Indiana.
• Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area in Maple Grove, MN offers a $15 starting price with a magic carpet, night tubing, and a minimum age of 4.
